Life isn’t really like a box of chocolates; it’s more like a restless ocean. There is an ebb and flow to everything. Every day waves tumble through our lives. Some are huge and will crush you into the rocks on the shore, and other times they are no more than ripples that are barely noticeable.
Many waves of thought are also like ocean waves. If you try to avoid or “outrun” a problem wave by turning your back on it, it will eventually catch up with you and wreak havoc. No matter how big it is, you can handle the challenge more easily by diving into it and swimming through it under the surface.
