Cricut cutting machines use cartridges to create the cutouts and Beyond Birthdays is a shape cartridge. Crafters can also use cartridges that have fonts, solutions, licensed and classmates. Cartridges tend to have themes like birthdays or be focused on an event like Mother’s Day. However Beyond Birthdays is not like this as the cartridge goes beyond just one theme and covers a large variety of them. This makes it great as a general use all year round cartridge.

Cecelia Harris was the person who made this cartridge and she gathered on it a wonderful collection of icons, phrases, greetings, symbols and shapes. Whether you want to create your own gift wrap, invitation, scrapbook or greeting card this has something for you and can be used any time of the year. There are also some added features on it like framed in oval and square, card in rectangle and square and also two shadows, shadow and shadow blackout. The manufacturer adding these on has given even more creativity options to the user.

As well as general ideas on the cartridge there are special occasions and times of the year that are celebrated like baby showers, mothers and fathers day, weddings, graduations, birthdays and many more. If there is an event you need a shape, symbol or phrase for, like July 4th or valentines day this cartridge has something for it. You can even create any type of greeting card you want, sorry, thank you, good luck, you name it, and you can create it using the Beyond Birthdays cartridge.

Another great project that this cartridge could be used for is creating a personalized calender for the desktop. Taking a simple calender and then adding shapes and icons and phrases to each month. You could even have whoever’s birthday it is that month as the picture or if no-one is celebrating their birthday you could use a family picture.

For those pictures that you love after its use as a calendar is over you can use the pictures for display on walls, or if you do not need a desktop calender pin it to a cork board and you have a lovely homemade reminder board.
