It’s your website, but you’re not the one it has to impress. You need to sell your stuff to anonymous people on the web. When designing your page, dress to impress but prepare to serve. There are six very important rules that you must follow.

Rule #1: Do not build a slow site. In the modern world, people are used to getting what they want and getting it quickly. If your site takes too long to load, then chances are they are going to navigate away … then over to your competitor’s place.

Rule #2: Avoid things that require additional downloads. ActiveX offers some really neat interactions, but not all of your online shoppers are going to be gamers who know what ActiveX is. They may think it’s a virus, decline to download, then they can’t see anything.

You register a domain name by registering with a domain name services registrar. The domain name industry is regulated and overseen by ICANN, which is an organization responsible for providing standards and procedures for certifying companies as domain name registrars.

When it comes to the InterNIC servers only one domain name registrar is permitted. The registers determines the fee for you and some of them have unique domain name.

You use a domain name to create an identity on the Web and domain names can also be used for branding purposes. Obtain a domain name that will help you in your marketing niche and strategy. You can use your business name as your URL. If your business name is already taken by someone else then get a URL name close to what you are doing. Purchasing a business name domain name isn’t the only way to go, and when a keyword domain name could do just fine.

The art of web designing has changed drastically since the addition of the web 2.0. As this web keeps growing the skills necessary to create and maintain a web page now dip into javascript and a creative portfolio. This makes choosing the right web designer a difficult task as you need to find the artistic and technical balance.

Web designing is often not updated in smaller businesses as it is difficult to manage. Creating anything on the web is a difficult task unless you understand the many different languages that computers dish out. After you decide you need to add or update your website; plan ahead. Start with the face of the company, the real image. Web designing is a craft just like engineering - plans are essential, followed by the craftsmanship to put it all together.

When we start to look for a computer training company, it’s very easy to lose sight of the fact that we want a company who can help us to complete the task. This is because we innocently make the asumption that all MCSA courses are the same, and it’s mainly about cost. Obviously we need value for money, but when it comes to training, it’s the way you are trained, and the quality of support that’s important. Find an organisation that’s passionate about educating and supporting their students, giving everyone the very best opportunity to qualify and get work in the IT industry.
