There has been much innovation in cost cutting measures as the globalization movement has taken hold of the business world. First, companies began by outsourcing supply and raw materials to cheaper imports. The next step in globalization was the outsourcing of customer support employees to cheaper locations around the world such as India, followed by companies setting up complete offices offshore in these various locations of the world. These remote offices are not simply support centers, but rather are completely collaborative through the maximization of the technology of conference calling.

Most companies have oriented project workflows. Product manufacturing is divisible into specific tasks that allow for several teams spaced out across the globe to work simultaneously on the same project. This does necessitate a two-way flow of information, however. This can easily be done through conference calling. To reduce the overall expense, company employees are encouraged to use this in lieu of a conventional phone call.

An internet conference call puts you in touch with colleagues and peers around the world, giving you instant access to information, support, and advice. The immediacy is unbeatable. With email you have to wait for a reply, but a conference call is real-time. Sometimes email can take hours to reach its destination. When time is critical, make an internet call.

Through an internet conference call you gain access to the tone of the individual that you are talking to. You can then judge the mood of the man or women that you are speaking to. These tones can make a large difference in business matters.

Conference calls can connect 3 or more people at a time. In fact, there is no restriction on the volume of people who can connect to an internet conference call. It is not uncommon for entire teams to conference together from disperse locations to discuss complicated business issues. This would be impossible with only text-based communication, and awkward with simple telephone conference calls.

An internet conference call is the most inexpensive way to communicate. Another benefit that many people aren’t aware of is that it is an effective way to keep in touch with offshore employees. Many such workers feel disconnected because of the distance from their managers and company headquarters. Internet conferencing allows managers to more easily connect with offshore workers, and gives offshore employees the feeling that they are an integral part of the company.

Many companies have established locations around the world, and the easiest way to facilitate communication between several locations is to use conference calling. Conference calls connect three or more people on a phone call at a time. One new development in this type of communication is the internet conference call, which allows direct connection to any other business location immediately, and can often be much less expensive than other communication options. This technology can allow numerous departments, sometimes on the other side of the world, to quickly and effectively communicate with each other.
