In its day the printer went on sale for much more, but it is now an older model and is usually only available as a refurbished or used printer. This might be a great price for you if you don’t mind buying refurbished and you want a near professional-level laser printer designed for small business needs.

The Lexmark S 1650 toner is still sold at more usual prices, and that now amounts to almost the cost of the printer in some cases. Toner can be expensive, but if you print a lot of documents, you might be able to save some money by looking for a high-capacity toner cartridge. The higher capacity cartridge will print up to seventeen thousand and five hundred pages, while the regular cartridge will print less than half of that–and the high-capacity toner is much less than twice as much as the standard version.
