Techie Stuff Explained

Working at home gives a level of freedom that is hard to find when you work a forty hour week and get two weeks of vacation time. Still, this is has disadvantages in terms of security as well since you do not get a pay check.

Some internet jobs can vary in technical difficulty: Some may require learning web design or programming. But there are a number that don’t have that type of background. These would be ideal for a work at home mom or someone seeking extra income on top of a job while it grows to full time work.

1) One sorely needed task that webmasters often neglect is to get links to their site from other similar sites. This is something they hire people for often and you can be the one to email web site owners to ask them to link to their site. This is a bit of grunt work but perfect to do from home. You can also post on forums and link back to your bosses site.

What you then would do is to study the webmaster’s site and write a small description of their product and service. You can then advertise it in the appropriate category on Craigslist, respond on Yahoo! answers to questions about their topic, as well as participate meaningfully in forums and put a link back to their site in your signature file after your post..

The reason why sites like craigslist and yahoo answers are helpful to a webmaster is that they have what is called high page rank. High page rank is helps in google and shows popularity of a site. This in turn will often help it do well for specific phrases if the site is optimized properly.

2) A way people also make money online is by writing articles. Articles can be sold to individual webmaster, sold in packs on marketing forums to webmasters or submitted to directories for payment. These can be 300 words or more and basically follow a simple outline of bullet points.

3) A third way to bring in some part-time income staying at home with your family is to join affiliate programs such as Amazon or Ebay and write articles yourself that then link back in your resource box to the site that pays you a commission. If you do not know much about web design you can set up a free blog and give a review of the item or product and then your affiliate link so you can get credit for the sale.

Any of the above methods are very good for online income. Keep in mind that working at home has it’s share of distractions like tv, radio and chatting on the phone. Have a system you follow and you’ll succeed.
